Why Every Successful Marketer Has A Network Marketing Business Plan

Failing to plan is a planning to fail. ~ Old Proverb Quote

Stop! Are you in a network marketing business or thinking about joining one? Don’t make a move without having a network marketing business plan first. It will decide your success or failure in this business.

Mindset has a lot to do with achieving success, however, you can think positive all day and cite affirmations ’til the cows come home, but without a plan to get to your goals, then all your affirmations amount to nothing.

A marketing plan is not the same as a marketing strategy and I’ll go over the difference later.

Define A Network Marketing Business Plan

A network marketing business plan is merely the daily routine of tasks needed for your business. In short, your daily to do list. This keeps you accountable and focused on your goals.

It’s important to be realistic with your time frames as you set your plan. Most marketers are part-time, so your availability is limited. Realize you will not accomplish everything overnight. There will be some delays and distractions. Accept it and adapt to it.

A Network Marketing Business Plan vs. A Marketing Strategy?

Your marketing business plan is what you plan to do, however your marketing strategy is how you plan to do it. It’s how you execute the plan. Many get confused on the differences when it comes to developing their marketing plan. It’s critical that you understand the differences to keep you on the right path.

Having a solid strategy will help you significantly in your network marketing business, but also realize that it’s not set in stone. You can always and you should fine-tune it as you go along. There is no such thing as the perfect plan.

Sometime you may find a new useful site or a new tool that was just released that can help you.

This is why your marketing strategy can adjust as you move forward. You do need to have something solid to start off with though. So having your strategy and marketing plan both solid from the beginning will give you great advantage over your competition.

Let’s say my marketing plan was article marketing. My strategies however, would be putting that article on my blog, and syndicating via several sources including backlinks all linking back to my blog. Then I go build more backlinks to the syndicated content, etc. Get it? That’s the difference between a plan and a strategy.

Do You Have A Network Marketing Business Plan?

Do you recall the story on the two men that built their homes – one built on sand and the other built on rock. The guy who built on sand completed his home quicker than the man who built on rock.

But one day, the rain came hard and steady. It rained until the water started to rise higher and higher.

The man that built his home on sand was scared since his home was being flooded and becoming unstable. But the guy who took his time building his house on rock was indoors warm and fuzzy drinking hot cider by the fireside with no concerns.

When the storm passed and the clouds pushed back, daylight revealed that the man who built his house on sand lost everything.

The same theory pertains to your business. That’s why it’s crucial to build on a solid foundation with a network marketing business plan.

If your upline can’t offer you a working marketing plan, it’s about TIME, you get one before it’s too late.
